Committed to ensuring the best learning opportunities and experiences for all learners, Jez has been developing pedagogical innovation for more than 20 years. As a SENDCo, Senior school leader, Headteacher, Inspector and School Improvement Officer, and as CEO, Jez has led on the development of curriculum and assessment change; the creative curriculum; inclusion; integrated curriculum planning from 2 - 18yrs; organisational development; building new schools; coaching and mentoring; partnership and collaboration at a local, regional and national levels. He is actively involved in regional and national strategy working parties; and is an active advocate of partnership working. (He also occasionally admits to having been a lead IT Trainer (for those of you who remember the days of the 'dreaded' New Opportunities Fund (NOF) trainers - he has to admit to being one of those!), and to have built from scratch several IT suites... but he keeps that quiet unless the printer has broken!)
Jez is passionate about ensuring the education system meets the needs of all learners, and will always look for approaches outside of the 'norm' that will inspire staff and learners alike in a life-long love of learning.
He is a husband, and father to 2 amazing daughters; a committed Christian; a worship leader and local preacher; and a musician who loves nothing more than the privilege of singing with the BBC National Chorus of Wales, and buying (and trying to play) any instrument (much to the frustration of his long-suffering wife).
