Change is not generally bad thing, and it is often a necessity to ensure that we can continue to develop and deliver the best we possibly can for pupils and our communities. It is, however, not an easy process, which is why we believe that the process of rejuvenation - "to make an organisation or system more effective by introducing new methods, ideas, or people; or to make someone or something look or feel young and energetic again." (Cambridge Dictionary) is a more appropriate term for what we seek to do.
It is refreshing, and empowering to look at what we do through a new or different lens; to take time to renew relationships or make new relationships and connections; to seek to transform the 'norm' and the 'expected' by being the change that we want to see in our schools and in our education system. All schools and all educational organisations are involved in different kinds of change; and that's why we developed this part of our offer - to be the independent, external voice to support your conversations and engagement as you seek to be the changemakers for the future of education.
What do Connected Education offer?
We offer a number of different approaches for a range of key strategic and operational stakeholder groups to meet your needs in planning, researching, engaging and implementing a strategy.
We utilise approaches such as the 'Three Horizons' approach to strategise over periods of time, focusing on impact, intended outcomes and KPIs to enable stakeholders to see what their rejuvenate strategy will look like over time. This enables stakeholder groups to openly discuss, and plan more effectively together - supported by a facilitator ensuring that all voices are engaged and equally involved.
The approaches set out below are examples of how our rejuvenate offer can work - but we will create a bespoke plan to suit your focus groups and the needs of your organisation.
Some of the examples below may also be planned in association with one of our partner organisations - Lemmiout Activities, who specialise not only in STEM activities for all ages, but also in team-building and outdoor adventurous activities for stakeholder groups; and Gilwern Outdoor Education Centre, who provide activities as part of day, and residential planning sessions.
